Mike Matthews – Classic FM to host ‘Tasting Notes’ with Simon Callow

Laithwaite’s and Classic FM (100-102 fm) have teamed up with actor and writer, Simon Callow (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Shakespeare in Love), to bring a new wine show to the British airwaves with ‘Tasting Notes’.

Callow will take Classic FM’s listeners on a two-hour musical wine tour around the globe to many of the regions where Laithwaite’s Wine source their range. Each week, Simon will set himself the challenge of pairing the perfect piece of classical music to accompany a delicious glass of wine.

Tasting Notes is set to be quite unique. Based on Professor Adrian North’s psychological research, it will hope to show that flavour can be enhanced by music.

The programme will begin this Sunday October the 14th, 3pm – 5pm, and run until December the 23rd.
