English wines will be out in force at a stylish new consumer show – Best of Britannia – taking place this weekend.
The best of British fashion, design and manufacture will be celebrated 5th-7th October in London’s Clerkenwell, allowing visitor to discover, enjoy and buy from a wide range of goods. Alongside exhibitors from across the country representing everything from speedboats to handbags, the best of England’s still and sparkling wines will be exhibited in style by English wine specialists, Sparkling English Wine. Their distinctive black and white mobile bar will be located in the main courtyard, near the entrance to the show and the main stage, selling wines by the glass. All the wines will also be available by the bottle to take away.
The line up of English wine stars will include:
Bolney Wine Estate from Sussex, showing their still Lychgate red and white wines;
Kent’s Hush Heath Estate, showing their Nanette’s still rosé;
Nyetimber from Sussex will have two of their wines available: Classic Cuvée as well as an exclusive opportunity to purchase a half bottle of Blanc de Blancs along with two flutes to take away and enjoy
Blackboys Vineyard, also from Sussex, showing their sparkling rosé Tickerage Blush
Other bars located throughout the show on different floors will be selling Bolney and Blackboys’ wines, as well as the half bottles of Nyetimber Blanc de Blancs.
Jeremy Cook, Managing Director of Sparkling English Wine commented: “The Best of Britannia appealed to us as the ideal showcase for these fantastic English wines – the show combines innovation, enterprise and lots of style – all the qualities you’ll find in the English wine industry. We really look forward to offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy them.”
