EWP launches Celebrate with English Wine

English Wine Producers is to launch its new branding, Celebrate with English Wine, at its trade and press tasting next week.

Launched in time for the prominent UK summer festivities, it will be applied to a range of marketing items, from shelf talkers in the form of bottle neck labels, table cards for the on trade and window stickers.

Recently released, new and currently available wines from the leading commercial producers in the industry, who make up English Wine Producers (EWP), will be on show at the tasting.

Other up and coming features include the formal launch of this year’s English Wine Week which takes place over the Jubilee Celebrations June 2-10, and the launch of EWP’s new interactive website.

Julia Trustram Eve, marketing director of EWP, says: We really are at the cusp of something very exciting at the moment.”

“The industry has experienced a near 100% growth in the last seven years and we are now witnessing the arrival of some of those wines, a number from new producers as well as additions to the already successful portfolios from our leading vineyards. “2012 marks just the start of our celebrations.”

Tasting highlights include: Ridgeview will show its new sparkling wine to mark the Jubilee  – Ridgeview Victoria 2009, new EWP member Danebury vineyard in Hampshire will exhibit alongside Jenkyn Place Vineyard and Nyetimber will showcase its new branding and packaging.

Also, showing for the first time are wines from Essex, Devon, Sussex and Lincolnshire on the regional tables

The EWP tasting takes place on May 3, One Great George Street, London SW1P 3AA, between 10.30am and 4.30pm
